San Francisco Sand Street Artist

San Francisco Street Sand Artist

One day, back in 2001, I was walking through the San Francisco Marina, on my way to Chrissy Field, and I saw the most unusual thing!?! I saw this sand sculpture just sitting there. Of course I thought it was fascinating so I took these photos.

A little later that day, I was walking back by the sculpture, and I took a photo of the artist, who by that time had added glasses to the mother, and I captured her in the image. If anybody knows who the artist is, please let me know and I will add her name to this story.

July 12, 2002 Pac Bell Park

One night, I went to see the san Francisco Giants at Pac Bell Park and I took these photos. This first one was of Shinjo Tsuyoshi, and I managed to get snap this shot at the perfect moment that perfectly showcased his unusual batting stance, where he looked more like a pitcher in his wind up than a batter.

This next image is of Barry Bonds killing the ball. This was long before all of his challenges, and watching him swing that bat was like watching magic!

San Francisco Zoo Shots 2005

Somebody Told Me It's All Happening At The Zoo
San Francisco Zoo Shots 2005

In 2005, I took a trip to the San Francisco Zoo and I took these photos. I remember thinking the San Francisco Zoo was really depressing, and I was shocked that a world-class, wealthy city like San Francisco had a zoo that looked like it was from a third world country ;-(

...A Long, Long Time Ago...

Star Wars Storm-Troopers Invade Palace Of Fine Arts

San Francisco, as Forest Gump famously said, "is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you are going to get next." So imagine my amazement one day–back in 2005– when I went down to the Palace of Fine Arts to take some photos and saw Star Wars Storm Troopers wanters around.
