Sausalito View: PostCards From Paradise

Sausalito View
PostCards From Paradise

I am really excited to share a new feature with you that I plan to keep running on Jake's Streets Of San Francisco Blog. I am going to be calling it "Sausalito View." Several years ago, I discovered a website named WebMarin.com that is owned and run by Don Strickler.

Essentially, Don setup a camera that takes photos of the San Francisco bay from Sausalito, California. If you are not familiar with Sausalito, it is on the opposite side of the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco. This first image is truly stunning!!! We see the towers of the Bay Bridge along with the downtown San Francisco skyline, gently popping out of the fog.

Don's camera, which is located 900 feet above sea level, takes a snapshot of the San Francisco Bay and posts it on WebMarin.com every minute of every day. I used to check it periodically to get a visual on the local weather conditions, but then I started noticing how amazing many of the images were, and it was remarkable how different each picture was–kind of like how Madonna always look like herself, but at the same time, she always is dressed so differently, she almost looks like a different person.

In the future, I plan to keep posting stunning images from the WebMarin.com camera, including some crazy beautiful images from the past that I saved.
